Don’t expect to see Luke Skywalker in any of the upcoming films Lucasfilm has planned — even as a spectral Force Ghost.

The 73-year-old actor, who has appeared in five live-action Star Wars films and made de-aged cameos in The Mandalorian TV series, suggested that Skywalker’s run is over — and should be over.

“I am so grateful to [creator George Lucas] for letting me be a part of that back in the day, the humble days when George called Star Wars ‘the most expensive low-budget movie ever made,'” said Hamill during an interview with ComicBook.com to promote his new film, the Stephen King adaptation The Life of Chuck. “We never expected it to become a permanent franchise and a part of pop culture like that. But my deal is, I had my time. I’m appreciative of that. But I really think they should focus on the future and all the new characters.

Pedro Pascal, Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa and Sabrina Carpenter are among the more than 100 celebrities who have signed an open letter calling for the protection of $50 million in federal funds earmarked for LGBTQ youth suicide prevention programs.

The letter comes following an April news report about the leaked draft of the budget of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.. The draft reportedly calls for plans to eliminate all funding for LGBTQ youth suicide prevention services through 988, a federal program that provides emergency crisis support to LGBTQ+ youth considering suicide.

“As artists, creators, and public figures, our platforms come with responsibility. And today, that responsibility is clear: we must speak out to protect the mental health and lives of LGBTQ+ youth,” the beginning of the letter reads, in part. “We will not stay silent.”

Fresh foes and woes await Wednesday Addams this August. Netflix released a clip of the first six minutes of “Wednesday” Season 2 at fan event Tudum on Saturday — which revealed that Haley Joel Osment will be playing a serial killer called the Kansas City Scalper.

Justin‘s team claimed in a new filing that Blake was attempting to withdraw claims “of intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligent infliction of emotional distress.”

The new report claimed that Justin‘s team was trying to get Blake to sign a Hipaa release to allow access to her therapy notes and other medical records as they need evidence to defend Justin against the allegations. His filing alleged that Blake was attempting to withdraw allegations to avoid turning over her medical records.

In a new letter to the judge, Blake‘s lawyers are speaking out against the filing and claim that the “motion was filed for a single audience: the media.”

Now that we’ve seen the first movie, we can point out all of the moments in that trailer that were actually from the second movie.

Universal Pictures has announced that the second movie will be titled Wicked: For Good, a reference to the act two duet between Glinda and Elphaba when they see each other for the last time and sing about how they’ve been changed for the better because of their friendship. There has been an update on Haley Joel Osment‘s recent court case.

The 37-year-old actor was arrested in April at a ski resort in California for apparent public intoxication, and he has since been charged with multiple misdemeanors, including drug possession.

On Monday (June 2), Haley was ordered by a judge to attend at least three Alcoholic Anonymous meetings per week for the next six months, and he is also required to meet with his therapist at least twice a week for the next six months. If he successfully complies, all charges will be dismissed by the court, per People.

Kerry Washington is returning to the New York stage in 2026!

The former Scandal actress previously appeared on Broadway in the plays Race and American Son and now she’ll be performing in the Off-Broadway production of The Whoopi Monologues, written by Whoopi Goldberg.

Kerry will be joined in the show by Tony winner Kara Young, as well as more performers to be announced soon.

Whoopi originally premiered the play in 1984 as a one-woman show on Broadway, but it’s being reworked for a new production directed by Tony nominee Whitney White.

The show will be performed at Lincoln Center Theater’s Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater with performances beginning in July 2026.

Kerry is a two-time Tony Award nominee for her producing work on Broadway, including as a producer on the current revival of Gypsy. We’ll find out if she wins this weekend!

Jonathan Joss‘ husband is speaking out after his tragic death.

The actor was shot and killed on Sunday (June 1) in San Antonio, Tex. during an argument with a neighbor.

The next day, his husband Tristan Kern de Gonzales provided alleged details surrounding the nature of his death, claiming it was motivated by homophobia.

Tristan began the post by explaining that he and Jonathan visited their former home to pick up some mail.

“That home was burned down after over two years of threats from people in the area who repeatedly told us they would set it on fire. We reported these threats to law enforcement multiple times and nothing was done. Throughout that time we were harassed regularly by individuals who made it clear they did not accept our relationship. Much of the harassment was openly homophobic,” a statement read on Jonathan‘s Facebook page.

Blake‘s team has already responded and is calling out Justin‘s team for using this “routine part of the litigation process” as a “press stunt.”

As you probably already know, Justin and Blake have both filed lawsuits against each other relating to their experiences working on the hit movie It Ends With Us.

Katie Thurston is struggling with memory loss amid her cancer battle.

Back in February, the 34-year-old The Bachelorette alum revealed that she was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer that has since progressed into stage four.

While sharing has been sharing updates with fans throughout her battle, Katie revealed in a new Instagram video on Sunday, June 1, that she has now experiencing memory loss.

Nicolas Cage is hard at work on his new project!

The 61-year-old Oscar-winning actor was nearly unrecognizable as NFL legend John Madden as he arrived on set to film scenes for the upcoming Madden biopic on Monday morning (June 2) in Atlanta, Georgia.

For his time on set, Nicolas sported a blue tracksuit over a white button-up shirt while wearing a light-brunette wig.

Madden was the head coach of the Oakland Raiders in the 1970s and led the team to numerous championships and its first Super Bowl win in 1976. After retiring in 1979, Madden became a mainstay in football coverage as he worked as a commentator for more than three decades. He announced his retirement as a broadcaster in 2009 and died in 2021 at the age of 85.

He is also the namesake for the fan-favorite Madden video game.

Over 100 celebrities have signed a letter that is calling to protect the funds for LGBTQ youth suicide prevention programs. The letter comes in response to a leaked report that states the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is planning to eliminate all funding for LGBTQ youth suicide prevention services.

All of the stars for the upcoming Carrie series have been announced!

Back in April, Prime Video officially picked up the series, based on Stephen King‘s 1974 novel, from Mike Flanagan, who will be serving as the executive producer, showrunner, and writer. He’ll also be directing select episodes.

The show’s logline says it’s a “bold and timely reimagining of the story of misfit high-schooler Carrie White, who has spent her life in seclusion with her domineering mother. After her father’s sudden and untimely death, Carrie finds herself contending with the alien landscape of public High School, a bullying scandal that shatters her community, and the emergence of mysterious telekinetic powers.”

Justin Baldoni‘s body double on the It Ends with Us set is speaking out about what he noticed behind-the-scenes.

Thomas Canestraro worked on the film and gave an interview. Interestingly, he also worked with Blake Lively on a previous movie and compared how she apparently acted on both sets.
